The inferno ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Circulated images reveal the roof structure igniting as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.
Authorities have indicated that it could take an extended period to identify the fatalities of the disaster, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and wounded another scores more.
