Star Denies Anti-Vaxxer Stance Following Narrating Disputed Covid Documentary

The "Taken" star has given his voice to a recent film that casts doubt on the efficacy of vaccines and commends former health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Feature's Disputed Basis

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a well-known publication published by a disgraced researcher, who rose to infamy during the global outbreak for assertions that the virus was caused by a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

Her writing partner, a producer, has also written books with conspiracy-prone media personality the Infowars host. The producer recently posted celebrating Neeson's involvement in the film.

An Unequivocal Denial

The team of Liam Neeson have provided a statement firmly refuting suggestions that he supports anti-immunization sentiments.

"We all understand that unethical practices can exist within the drug industry, but that cannot be confused with being against vaccines," the comment reads. "He never has been, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His extensive work with the global charity highlights his long-held support for global immunisation initiatives."

The response continued that the performer was not involved in crafting the project's narrative and that questions about its claims should be directed to the filmmakers.

Major Themes In the Feature

As presented, the voiceover provided by Neeson features several controversial claims:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have called for "complete compliance" to government bodies.
  • It argues that "medical science has become dangerously politicized."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is shown stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
  • The film further attacks stay-at-home orders, claiming they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Regarding Covid vaccines, it cites a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Context and Ongoing Disputes

The film includes a historical film about clinical trials on children, which was later the topic of a correction by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Last month, RFK Jr directed the CDC to revise its long-held position that there is no link between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is echoed in the film, even with a recent study from the global health body reiterating no such link has been found.

A Previous Record of Support

Standing in contrast to the documentary's narrative, Neeson has in the past voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he called vaccines as "an incredible achievement," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in lately has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."

The documentary finishes with Neeson's voice stating, "This marks not the finish of our narrative. Rather, it is the start of a fresh chapter."
