Springer was instrumental for the Houston Astros winning the championship in 2017.
Toronto's Blue Jays earned a spot in their initial Fall Classic following 1993 by defeating the Mariners in the seventh seventh game of the ALCS.
Behind by two runs, Springer delivered a three-run homer in the seventh, leading the sole Canadian team in the majors to a 4-3 win in the best-of-seven series. Awaiting them are the Dodgers, who are the reigning title, in the forthcoming championship.
"I'm just so happy for our team, our city, our country," commented Springer, a star of the Astros team that claimed the 2017 title. "This is such an amazing experience."
The veteran has now slugged twenty-three playoff homers, making him third all-time after Ramirez (29) and Altuve (27).
"There's probably not another person in the world that I'd prefer in that moment except for Springer with his October magic," noted manager John Schneider.
Seattle, after leading the series 2-0 and 3-2, continue to be the only MLB franchise yet to make an appearance in a Fall Classic.
Mariners manager Dan Wilson said "without a doubt that it's going to sting" after his club's elimination at Toronto's Rogers Centre, but commended their efforts in the campaign.
"It's a special team. It's a shame that we finished on the unsuccessful side of this game," he continued.
Toronto secured the championship on both previous visits in 1992 and '93, and will welcome the Los Angeles in the opener on Friday.
